Terms and Conditions — Toki Tattoos

These Terms govern your use of tokitattoos.com and tattoo services from Toki Tattoos (“Toki,” “we,” “us”). By booking, submitting a form, or receiving services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Artist and Services

Toki Tattoos is operated by Kat (Toki), a tattoo artist based in Dallas, Texas. Services include custom and flash tattoos (including signature “Shadow Style”), consultations, guest spots, and occasional flash/fundraising events.

Guest spots and events may take place at other studios or locations. Address details for guest spots or private events may be shared after booking confirmation.

2. Age Requirement

You must be 18 or older. Valid government-issued photo ID is required at your appointment.

3. Booking and Consultations

  • Free short design consultations and booking requests may be submitted through the website.

  • Submitting a request does not guarantee an appointment.

  • Pricing is by project and complexity. After reviewing your idea, we provide a price approximation, which may change if size or complexity changes.

  • Pricing includes design time and responsibility for the long-term result of the work.

4. Deposits

  • Deposits are non-refundable and applied to the cost of your tattoo at the end of the final session.

  • Deposits will not be refunded for cancellations initiated by you.

  • If a design has been drawn and you cancel or make major changes that require a new design, the deposit may be kept as a drawing fee. A new deposit is required to start a new project.

  • If cancellation is initiated due to a circumstance on our end, we will work with you on rescheduling or deposit handling as appropriate.

5. Rescheduling

  • Give at least 5 days’ notice to reschedule. Less than 5 days’ notice requires a new deposit.

  • Up to one reschedule is allowed. Additional reschedules require another deposit.

  • Guest spots are booked to capacity. No reschedules can be accommodated for guest spots.

6. Designs

  • Designs are typically shared when finished, often a few days before, and at latest the night before when possible. Advance delivery is not guaranteed.

  • There will be time at the start of the appointment to review and make adjustments.

  • Minor variations may be shown in person. Additional separate designs may require a drawing fee based on complexity.

  • Toki’s original designs and style remain Toki’s intellectual property. Do not have Toki’s style or designs tattooed by another artist. Design-only commissions are not currently offered.

7. Touch-Ups

  • Free touch-ups with no time limit, subject to healed photos and scheduling.

  • If you get a tattoo against professional recommendation (for example, certain hand or foot placements), a $50–$100 touch-up fee may apply and will be communicated at the appointment if relevant.

  • For guest-spot tattoos, healed photos help plan touch-ups on a future visit to that city when possible.

8. Appointment Guidelines

  • Stay hydrated, eat beforehand, and prepare the skin area as directed.

  • Do not schedule tight commitments after your appointment; sessions can run longer than estimated.

  • Guests are welcome if they remain respectful. Guests who overstep or create a poor environment may be asked to leave.

  • We may refuse or end a session without refund for intoxication, abusive behavior, or safety concerns.

9. Payment

Preferred methods (in order): Cash, Zelle, Apple Cash, Venmo, Credit Card (tap to pay; 3% processing fee). Full payment is due as agreed for your session(s).

10. Health and Aftercare

Disclose relevant medical conditions, allergies, medications, or concerns before tattooing. Follow aftercare instructions. Failure to follow aftercare may affect healing and results.

11. SMS / Text Messaging Terms

By providing your mobile number and opting in to SMS, you consent to texts from Toki Tattoos about appointments, updates, aftercare, and (if separately opted in) promotions.

  • Frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

  • Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help, or email hi@tokitattoos.com.

  • We do not sell or share SMS opt-in data with third parties for their marketing.

  • Opting out of texts does not cancel appointments.

12. Photography

Unless you tell us otherwise before your appointment, you grant permission for Toki Tattoos to photograph your tattoo for portfolio, website, and social media (including Instagram @toki.tattoos).

13. Liability

Tattooing involves inherent risks (pain, bleeding, infection if aftercare is not followed, allergic reaction, scarring, dissatisfaction with artistic outcome). To the fullest extent allowed by law, Toki Tattoos is not liable for outcomes caused by undisclosed medical issues, failure to follow aftercare, or normal healing variation after you approved the design.

14. Website Use

Use the site lawfully. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free site operation. Content may change without notice.

15. Privacy

16. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new “Last Updated” date. Continued use of services after changes means you accept them.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Disputes should first be raised by emailing hi@tokitattoos.com.
